Dog Show
Went to the dog show in Abbotsford a few weekends ago. Hadn't been to a competition show for quite a few years. It's sad to see how sloped the German Shepherds hind quarters are and how bent their back legs are now. Too bad the standards haven't changed.
It was great to get in my doggie fix. There was a Pacific Assistance Dogs booth with a few dogs and an adorable fluffy puppy. I looked into volunteering to be a puppy-cuddler for them a while ago but there was a waiting list for the evenings so I haven't been to an orientation yet.
A lot of the vendors were giving away free dog food so I got quite a few bags for Y.

- Hi, welcome to my world! In October, 2006 I walked my first half marathon in Victoria. By raising $4500 for the Arthritis Society I was able to walk my first full marathon in Honolulu in December. In 2007 and 2008 I raised $300 each year for the BC Cancer Foundation's Underwear Affair (for cancers below the waist). It's a 10km run/5km walk - I walked and the fundraising minimum was $300. The walk was late in the afternoon (yee ha) and afterwards there was a party with dancing and prizes for best costumes! There were a lot of brave people in their skivvies!
