We saw Will Smith's I am Legend a few weekends ago.
http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/iamlegend/ I liked it but Ray just thought it was "okay". He said it was similar to Resident Evil which I haven't seen so didn't know what he was talking about. I have never jumped or screamed and yelled so many times as I did in this movie. I used Ray's baseball hat as a pillow to cover my eyes :) I liked this movie much more than his last snoresville one the Pursuit of Happyness as it kept my interest all the way through. I didn't realize the kid in the movie was his daughter Willow until the credits after the movie was over. His son, Jaden played his son in the POH.

I haven't watched all the Honolulu Marathon 2006 videos that are posted on You Tube but checked a few out for the first time in January. There is an awesome one of the whole fireworks right before the marathon started. I got shivers watching it as it was such an amazing experience to be there and relive the feeling of the 5 am fireworks. I've posted it on my blog.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2008 is here!
Out with the old GST rate and in with the new 5%! We've already taken advantage of the lower GST as we just got back from Denny's about 45 minutes ago. It sure was packed for a Monday night! We didn't go anywhere for New Year's Eve. Ray's schedule is backwards so he didn't get up until just before midnight. Plus I'm still fighting the fatigue and a bit of congestion from my cold. I stifled the urge to take a nap at about 8 or so since I need to try and go to bed earlier Tuesday night and a nap will mean I'll just stay up later tonight. Tonight was the first time I'd been out since Friday. I think this is the first New Year's Eve we've stayed home since we moved here 5 years ago. But we had friends over then and didn't notice all the fireworks going off. So it was nice to watch all the different fireworks going off. Much more spectacular than at Halloween.
Out with the old supposedly cancerous Nalgene bottles, and in with the new MEC Thermos stainless steel 1 litre Vacuum Bottle and metallic blue 500 ml Thermos Thermax Hydration Bottle. I haven't gotten around to washing them yet but if I like the 500 ml bottle I'll probably go back and get the red metallic one too.
