Wow, it's been over a month since I've updated my blog. Let's see, to summarize the past month I've been to the PNE, some family functions, helped my friend celebrate his 50th b'day and spent time with the folks when they were in town. Ray and I usually go to Metropolis' U-Grill to eat on the weekend.

Other than that it's been pretty much: Tuesday and Saturday = 3.5 mile walk, Wed and Thurs 5 or 6 mile walks each day, Sunday long walks = 14.5 miles last Sunday, 12 the Sunday before and 10 the one before that. Started hill training last week in the pouring rain. Squishy runners. Strained my back trying to help an older man up after he slipped and fell. Luckily someone else came by who could help him. I had a physio appointment scheduled anyways for a few days later so didn't have to cancel it :(

Couldn't believe what a difference it was walking this past Sunday compared to the previous Sunday. Pissing rain, cold and wet in my water-resistant gear compared to sun, sunblock, tank top and shorts this past Sunday.

Anyways, next Sunday is 16 miles and then the following Sunday is scheduled for 12 miles but instead I'll be walking the Victoria Half Marathon. Will be good practice for the full marathon in Honolulu in December. Cool thing is there is a group of 4 from the Arthritis Society's Joints in Motion Team and the acting special events coordinator who will be there for the full marathon. The regular coordinator is on medical leave from the Vancouver office and the acting one works in Victoria. I'll meet up with them on the Saturday for the pasta party. I'm looking forward to meeting the coordinator as she was acting last year too when the regular one was seconded to another position.

Don't know how I'll handle the early 7:30 am walk as I usually walk later in the day. I guess I'll try and get up earlier this Sunday and see how it goes.

Haven't played badminton since I started training. Will play again in January. Don't know if my back is better from not playing badminton or all the walking I've been doing. Maybe both. But for sure badminton was bothering my sacroiliac joint before.

Was keeping up with Rockstar Supernova, got hooked on that. I like Dilanna better than Lukas. I enjoyed watching Tommy too.

I'm in the maintenance phase now with L.A. Weight Loss!!! :) I only have to go there once a week for the next 49 weeks. I don't know what I would've done without this program. I love it!
