New Year's Eve 2008/Chinese New Year
Ray and I went to the new Grand Villa Casino on New Year's Eve to eat. Then we went and saw a movie - The Day the Earth Stood Still. We were in the theatre past midnight so didn't even realize it was 2009 until after the movie ended.
Had dinner at the inlaws the Saturday before Chinese New Year and the Saturday after Chinese New Year. Could've had dinner there on CNY too but Ray wanted to play badminton instead.

- Hi, welcome to my world! In October, 2006 I walked my first half marathon in Victoria. By raising $4500 for the Arthritis Society I was able to walk my first full marathon in Honolulu in December. In 2007 and 2008 I raised $300 each year for the BC Cancer Foundation's Underwear Affair (for cancers below the waist). It's a 10km run/5km walk - I walked and the fundraising minimum was $300. The walk was late in the afternoon (yee ha) and afterwards there was a party with dancing and prizes for best costumes! There were a lot of brave people in their skivvies!
