Movies - Quarantine and Changeling
Ray and I have seen a few movies in the past few weeks. We went and saw Quarantine. The only things I knew about it is that it was a cross between I am Legend and Cloverfield. I liked I am Legend and didn't know anything about Cloverfield except that it was through the few of a very shaky video camera that makes you nauseous watching it. For Quarantine they said it wasn't as bad. Boy, was I in for a shock at this movie. I was terrorized and horrified and came out of there with a really splitting headache and a really sore neck and back. This was from the tension of the movie as it was sooooo scary. My body didn't recover until after I got home and the tension finally went away. I was in sooo much pain though in the car ride home. After I came home I checked the show out online and it indeed was a horror show! It was also classified as "R for bloody violent and disturbing content, terror and language." Oh well. Here's what the show is about...note SPOILER alert! I'm glad I didn't check out the website before I saw it as I would've spoiled it: http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809956042/details Even though the show was so terrorizing I still enjoyed it as the storyline was good and original. The beginning was very good and original before the terror started. I wouldn't recommend this show for anyone with heart problems or high blood pressure.
Changeling on the other hand was a drama. At the beginning of the movie it said that it was based on a true story. Usually that type of revelation is at the end of the movie, not the beginning. During the movie, Ray and I both said to each other - oooooh, this was a true story! Hard to believe. Angelina Jolie did a lot of crying in the movie. I enjoyed this show too. The story and acting were good and kept my interest the whole way through. Ray said that it was good when I asked him which is a change from the usual "okay" response I usually get after movies.
