October - B'day, Karaoke, and Thanksgiving

October was memorable for my b'day lunches, dinners and Thanksgiving dinners. A and I went out for dinner at Fuku-san Izakaya Karaoke Restaurant at Parker Place in Richmond. http://www.richmondbc.worldweb.com/RestaurantsBars/KaraokeBars/ I've been to Aberdeen Mall and I think Yaohan too but never Parker Place. Looking in the windows of some of the clothing stores I felt like a giant - the clothes were so tiny.

Dinner was served in our private karaoke room. I've never had a meal in a karaoke room before. It was liberating to be able to sing and not care how out of tune I was. I had soooo much fun. Both A and I are tone-deaf but my voice is louder than hers so I suggested that she use the microphone and I didn't as I couldn't hear her singing some times. I was exhausted afterwards - singing is a lot of work as you put a lot of emotion into it. It was interesting to find out a lot of the words for songs that I've known for years. I had no idea.
