I volunteered after work on Tuesday at the SPCA’s launch event for the Paws for a Cause Walk. There was a silent auction, hors d'oeuvres served, fruit, cheese, bread etc. There were some SPCA merchandise at a few tables. The M.C. was Randene O'Neil from one of the news broadcasts. The launch was for the SPCA's sponsors, VIP's and volunteers. Quite a few people worked at the humane society and the SPCA.

I was at a table giving out free Royal Canin Medi-Cal dog and cat food, Modern Dog magazine and TV Week magazine. Some people brought their dogs so that was neat. This year there will also be cat teams where people can raise money for the SPCA on behalf of their cats. Obviously the cats wouldn't come to the walk since they'd be surrounded by dogs so the guy suggested bringing a photo or something.

I really enjoyed volunteering and being around so many animal lovers.
